Eucalyptus Grove > The Gym

The Grove Gym is NOW OPEN!!!

In November 2022 the Gym re-opened after an extended closure for a thorough remodeling. Many thanks to our patient homeowners while this project completed.


The Grove's Gym is located in building 7630, just inside the Front Gate.

Please be courteous to your neighbors and do not drop weights or play loud music.

There is WiFi available in The Gym, please see the postings for connection information.

Hours

  • The Gym is open daily 6:00AM - 8:00PM.

The Rules

  1. Proper Athletic Attire Required.
    Please wear freshly laundered gym attire and proper footwear.
  2. Don’t forget to bring a towel!
    Please bring a towel to help clean up while you work out.
  3. Use Care When Moving Benches.
    Lift them from the handle at the front foot. Do not move larger pieces of equipment.
  4. Be Courteous.
    Allow others to work in on equipment during high-traffic times.
  5. 30-Minute Time Limits
    Observe a 30-minute time limit on cardio machines, including warm-up & cool-down, during high-traffic times.
  6. Do not remove equipment.
    Please do not take equipment outside of The Gym.
  7. Use Equipment Appropriately.
    Equipment may only be used for its designated purposes.
  8. Use Safety Collars.
    Safety Collars are required on all Olympic bars regardless of weight quantity.
  9. Water Only
    Please bring water only in a non-breakable container with a resealable top.
  10. Store Personal Belongings.

    Please use wipes to clean all equipment when finished. Be sure to clean all mats, padded bench surfaces, dumbbells, barbells, and hand grips used during your workout.
  15. Please Refrain From:
    - Using grip chalk
    - Touching the mirrors
    - Throwing medicine balls
    - Dropping dumbbells & kettlebells
    - Slamming cable machine weights
    - Using hand weights on any cardio equipment

Adjustable Benches

Move benches around. Lift them from the handle at the front foot. Roll the bench into desired position. Please be careful of those working out around you.

Adjust benches as needed. Verify backrest, seat, and footrest are secured into position before working out.

Swap footrests for diverse workouts. Verify footrest pin is secured when swapping the attachments. Standard footrests, Leg Extension, and Preacher Curls are available.

Store Footrests When Not in Use. Please store the Preacher & Leg Extension attachments in their rack. This will help reduce damage to the rubber flooring and will keep space clear for others working out.

Rerack Your Weights! Help us keep our space neat and organized by properly racking all weights when done with your workout. Please see other signage.

Clip an attachment to the handle. Verify that the spring clip closes fully and that the handles are set at the correct height on both sides.

Set up your phone or tablet. Follow along with the “HOIST Strength” app on your device.

Wipe down when finished. Please use a wipe to clean all handgrips used during your workout.

Jones Smith

The new Jones Smith machine.

Always use weight clips! The bar is free to tilt slightly & weights can shift during movements.

Use the safety spotter! Verify height of safety catch on both sides of the rack before starting your workout.

Check lower pop pin! Adjust this pin to lock or unlock the horizontal movement of the captured bar.

Suspension Elliptical

Our suspension elliptical.

Please do not move this machine! The machine is placed specifically for safety and accessibility.

Pedal Powered! Start pedaling to power the unit.

Treadmill

Our treadmill and new chilled, filtered water fountain.

Always Use Red Safety Key! Attach the clip securely to your clothing. This clip halts the machine in the event of a fall. Use it at all times when using the treadmill.

Always use Foot Strap. Adjust the Foot Strap location so the strap crosses over the ball of the foot.

Please do not attempt to adjust the water level. The rower has been filled to a set level and it is maintained by our Gym maintenance company.
